Hello, I'm Jiawei (Joel) Wang.

Robotics researcher: GPU planning, robust trajectory optimisation and articulated 3D
Generating physical things is now cheap; knowing whether they work is not. I build fast, robust verifiers (GPU planners and robust trajectory optimisers) and use them to decide which generated robots, objects and interactions deserve real-world evidence.
I have worked with Prof. Evangelos Theodorou (Georgia Tech) on GPU robust trajectory optimisation, and with Prof. Henrik Christensen at UC San Diego (2023–2025) on GPU motion planning. I am a partner at Deemos (Hyper3D), where I lead the Hyper3D Physical AI Lab.
